Ronnie's Tournament Reports for 2017:
Lucky Shots Presents Poorhouse DGC March 5th This past Sunday I participated in the 1st Disc Golf tournament at Poorhouse park in over 10 years. I started out the first round pretty hot my plasma volt, neutron fireball and proton resistor were my go to discs on long tight wooded holes. My putter wasn't as hot the first round but still managed to land the lead card after the first. Started the 2nd round down 3 strokes. Missed 4 straight birdie holes to start which bummed me out and got a 5 on my next hole. After that my putter got really hot and I started making longer putts. I pulled it together and finished with 2 birdies on my last two holes to secure 4th place.
Winchester IFO March 12th The day started off very chilly and I started out with a a very up and down first round. Made some great shots especially with my plasma volt and neutron motion. Whenever I had a good tee shot I usually followed it up with a bad putt. If I had a bad shot I managed to scramble pretty well and that helped a lot. I finished the first round in the lead by 1 stroke much to my surprise. I was feeling pretty good going into the second round. My putts were on and I was throwing straight. My second round started with a bogey then 2 birdies then a bogey, bogey. I didn't play great but I didn't play horrible. I ended up shooting par and went down to third place/ 17. It was still a great tournament and I had a great time.
